Wanda Ellen Lash Borchers, the daughter of William Robert Lash and Juanita Jackson Pierce was born on June 12, 1946.

Wanda came to Indianapolis, IN with her parents in 1947 where she resided.

Wanda confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Phillips Temple CME on November 22, 2022.

Wanda worked in the health care field for 30 yrs. She took on a part time job at Mr. Dan’s for 5 years.

Wanda was united in marriage to Richard Borchers on 2/14/1995 until his death on 12/29/2017.

Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother She, was a feisty little lady. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having them around her.

She is preceded in death by her mother Juanita Jackson Pierce, father William Robert Lash, grandmother Norma Jackson, 2 sisters Norma Rose Lash Croom, infant sister Joann Louise Lash, brother Wayne Ferguson, Jennie Lash, infant great grandchild DeAsia Denise Whitlock, and her loving husband Richard Borchers.

On Friday October 6, 2023 Wanda Ellen Lash Borchers departed this life at the age of 77 years and 4 months 6 days.

She leaves in God’s care 2 daughters Juanita Kay Anderson(Kenneth) and Michelle Denise Lewis, 2 sons Willie Frank Lewis Sr. (Elizabeth) and David Eugene Howard Sr., 3 Sisters Regina Moore (David) , Mary Lash, and Yvonne Jones, 2 brothers James Ferguson, and William Ronald Lash Sr.(Carolyn), 13 grandchildren Wanda Dozier, Clyde Jordan III(Lynetta), Latasha Raine (Christopher), David Whitlock, Denise Whitlock, Lawana Portis, David Howard Jr.,Willie Lewis,Brandon Lewis , Asha Lewis, Antonia Lewis, Alexis Lewis, Shane Lewis, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. Special thanks to Tyler Hyde and Latania Harrington. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
