Rayuanna Lovella Nicole Yates or Ray baby as she was affectionately known, was born November 27, 1999 to Tracy Payton Griffin and Calvin Yates Jr. in Indianapolis Indiana. Rayuanna was a student in Pike Township where she graduated in 2018. Ray Baby professed her faith in Jesus Christ at a young age. She was a member of Augusta Christian Church where she made the decision to be baptized at the age of 18. She planned her own baptism, invited her family and friends. Ray Baby was a member of Best Buddies, Special Olympics and Visions Summer Beauty Camp. She enjoyed being involved. Ray Baby celebrated 10 years as an active member and mentee of Divas in Red Indy Inc. Where she discovered her love of baking and entrepreneurship, travel and sisterhood. Ray Baby aspired to become a business owner and open up her own bakery. She loved to dance, travel, waterparks and pools. In her free time, she was a professional texter, and FaceTimer. Ray Baby worked for Monicals Pizza in Traders Point since 2019. Where she was excited about her tips and her checks. She would be ready for work hours before her shift began. Ray Baby was proceeded in death by her brother Charles Griffin Jr and Great Grandmother Lovella Cannon. She will be deeply missed by her parents: Tracy Payton-Griffin (Charles Griffin) Calvin Yates Jr. (Drucilla) Siblings: Raymond, Raven, Calvin, De’Monte, Jordan, Lucas, Derica and Khamille, Aunts: Tisa (Anthony) Tywana , Sherece and Rita, Uncles: Michael (Felicia), Mark, Derrick, Kirk, Brandon, and Tony. Grandparents: Yvonne (Curtis) Michael, Raymond (Sherrie) Lillian, Calvin, Marilyn, and Carlene. Nephews: Kayden and Payton, God mothers: Latasha and Bridgette (Nikki) God sisters Antwana and Kamaria, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
