Karen Leigh Sutton, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born June 17th, 1959 to Rev. Ronald Eugene White Sr, and Beatrice White. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at South Calvary Baptist Church. She, along with her family, later joined Pathway Missionary Baptist church, under the direction of Pastor Angelo White, Sr., where she was an active member. Karen graduated from Shortridge High School and had spent time working as a EKG technician, correctional officer, and claims and billing specialist. Karen loved birds. If you walked into her house, you would hear a different bird sound every hour on the hour. She enjoyed vacationing and taking trips with her family and friends. She loved singing, working puzzles, listening and dancing to country, gospel and 70s r&b music. Most of all, her passion was in giving to others, in every way that she could. She opened her heart and home to many people caring for them as her own. She always had a beautiful million dollar smile and an energetic welcoming personality. She knew how to have fun and make you feel welcomed. Her infectious love for all will be missed by many. Karen is survived by: her mother, Beatrice White; children Anthony White, LaToyia (Rashaad) Walton, Natalie (Mike) Carlock, Byron (Lou) Sutton; step-children, Anthony Seymour and Tenisha (Coby) Askew; siblings Cynthia (Paul) LaSchiazza (Florida), Jeffrey (Jessica) White (Virginia), Eric (Mary) White and Aaron (Rineeta) White; special friend Michael Newson (Newt); along with 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones spread around the world near and far. Karen is preceded in death by her father, Pastor and founder of Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Ronald E. White, Sr., brothers Gregory White and Ronald E. White Jr. (Gino), and special brother Jose Quinones, along with several other relatives with whom she is now reunited with in love and laughter.
