Brenda Joyce Rogers was the daughter of the late, Robert H. Rogers, Sr., and Izetta Gibbs Rogers, born December 27, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the middle sister (#5) out of seven children.
Brenda Joyce, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she also received her elementary and high school (Broad Ripple) education. She also went on the elevate her education at Martin University majoring in Criminal Justice while working at Methodist Hospital for several years.
Sister Brenda gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was filled with the Holy Ghost and became a member at Jesus House of Prayer Temple of the Apostolic Faith in 2011, under the pastoralship of Pastor Anious R. Yeakey.
Brenda Joyce loved her family and was a devoted mother to her only son, Corey. She also had two beautiful grandbabies, whom she loved very deeply. She had a very sweet demeanor and personality. She was very energic and had a love for music, along with a couple of her favorite dishes; however, catfish dinners were the “top champs” in her eyes! She was an active member at her church before her illness got more aggressive. She loved her family and we love her past this life. She was our strong warrior that withstood any curve ball her illness threw her way! She ran her race with grace while knowing the Lord continued to see her through. She never complained about her illness, never. God was merciful and good to her throughout her health challenges and she rejoiced in knowing so by displaying her faithfulness even in her last days. We thank you heavenly Father for the years you allowed us to have our beloved sister and mother in our lives. Eternally grateful ~
Brenda Joyce Rogers transitioned from this life at 6:05 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 25, 2023, at the age of fifty-two years old.
