Obituary For Diane Lynn Morris

Ms. Diane Lynn Morris passed away quietly Monday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA at the age of 70.A native of Ft. Rucker, AL and the daughter of Mrs. Katie Carroll Morris and the late Robert Morris, Jr, Diane was a 1970 graduate of Baker High School and attended Savannah State University. She retired as an IT Tech at AFLAC and was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church and its choir ministry. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Her hobbies included reading, shopping and dancing. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Krystal Butts and a son-in-law, Troy Holloway.Survivors other than her mother include three daughters, Alisha Butts, Katia Holloway and Lasandra Veasley (Cameron); two brothers, Robert Morris III and Gregory Morris (Ann); and a host of other relatives and friends.Ms. Morris will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Friday, March 31, 2023 following a Twelve O'clock Noon Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Nazareth Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Reginald Jackson. Visitation is 2:00 til 5:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc is privileged to serve the Morris Family.
