Christopher “Chris” Diangelo Hobson entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the age of 21 years. At the time of Christopher’s passing, when he took his final breath at approximately 4:18 p.m., he was surrounded with love by his mother, siblings, grandmother, and aunts. Chris received his formal education at Lawrence Central High School & Warren Central High School. Chris was a member of the Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church, where he served with distinction as a member of the H.L. Burton Junior Usher Board, “My Brother Keeper” mentor ministry, Sunday School, Bible Study, and a youth delegate to the Connectional Youth and Young Adult Conference, along with District and Annual Conference gatherings. Chris was always excited about being the worship leader and worship participant. Chris was a member of the Indianapolis YMCA since the age of five. Chris involved himself in many community engagement activities, including Young Men, Incorporated (Y.M.I.) throughout his childhood and youth years. Chris had an ENORMOUS heart, was VERY OUTSPOKEN, the life of the party, and to basically KNOW Chris you would have to LOVE Chris. Chris was excited about becoming a leader in the community and in the business world. During Chris’ lifetime he held many jobs, including his very own lawncare company, where he dedicated time and effort to making sure the lawncare of his family, community, and church family friends was immaculate. Chris held other jobs or summer positions with St. Florian Center Leadership Camp, Walmart, Kroger Warehouse, and DoorDash delivery with his brothers, Dominick, Elijah, and Ja’Shawn. Chris participated in the St. Florian Center Leadership Development Camp as a camp counselor. Chris had an obsession with cars, his nephews, family gatherings, music, and his brothers. Chris will greatly be missed here on earth, but we have so many precious memories to sustain us until we meet again in eternity. Christopher Diangelo Hobson departed his earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the age of 21 years. Chris leaves to cherish precious memories: his mother, Candace Hobson; brothers, Dominick Hobson, Elijah Hobson, Ja’Shawn Hobson, all of Indianapolis; his grandmothers, Evelyn Ramsey and M. Faye Godwin; grandfather, Sammie Lee Hobson, all of Indianapolis; stepmother, Ebonee’ S. Comer of Indianapolis; nephews, Jeremiah Breaziel and Karter Hobson of Indianapolis, whom he greatly loved; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, extended family, and church family.
