Rowetta Lovelace Bailey born to the late Grover and Dorothy Lovelace of West Point, Georgia on October 6, 1960. She transitioned on April 17. 2024 at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center, Snellville, Georgia.
At an early age she professed her faith and was baptized at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Lanett Alabama. She was educated in Atlanta Public School district, graduating from Harper High School class of 1979. After high school she attended Barbizon School of Modeling in Atlanta Georgia, and attended the Art Institute in Atlanta Georgia.
Rowetta was blessed with many amazing talents and had a passion for interior decorating and designing. She loved reading, spending time with family, laughing and always wore a smile on her face. She was a caring and loving person “to know her was to love her.”
She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will forever be cherished by all. She had a love for her family beyond measure and lived her life for her boys, she always put them first.
Rowetta was as beautiful as flowers that she loved so well, and her light and joy will remain forever in all the ones that she knew and touched with her amazing soul.
She leaves behind to share her life and memories: six sons, Keith Lamar Fambrough, II, Snellville, GA, Brian Mateen Bailey, Denver, CO, Geoffrey Anthony Bailey(Lisa), Snellville, GA, Orrin Ahmad Bailey, Snellville, GA, Nehemiah Du’vual Brown, Atlanta, GA and Micah Ian Thompson, Snellville, GA; step-daugther, Teprika Thomas, LaGrange, GA; her loving mother, Dorothy(JC)Booker, West Point, GA; three sisters, Romona(Angelo)Bowie, Douglasville, GA; Rosalind(Elwin)Edmonson, Newnan, GA, Tauheedah Lovelace, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; best friend Jeff(Mary)Bailey of Dacula, GA; god-son, Eli Fortner, Snellville, GA; a host devoted, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and close friends.
A Memorial Celebration of Life for Ms. Bailey will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the residence of Mrs. Rosalind Lovelace Edmonson. Please contact Mrs. Lovelace Edmonson at (706) 590-3486 for location details.
