Carter Funeral Home announces the restful transition of Mr. Clifford Scott, of Union Springs, Alabama. Mr. Scott, 72, peacefully transitioned into eternity on January 24, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday February 03, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday 04, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Old Sardis Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, AL. The message of triumph will be delivered by Pastor Henry Streeter.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
CLIFFORD SCOTT was born on February 11, 1950 to the late Frazier and Novella Scott of Union Springs, AL.
At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and joined Old Sardis Baptist Church in Union Springs, AL. Clifford departed this life on January 24, 2023 at Southeast Health Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Over the course of his work life, Clifford was employed at Wiley Sanders Truck Line, G.P. Thompson, McDonald Construction, and Bonnie Plant Farm.
Along with his parents, Clifford was also preceded in death by two sons, Harold (Lil Hal) Scott and Sammy Goshay; two brothers, Harold B. Scott and Johnny Scott; and one sister, Bertha E. Scott.
Clifford leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Gazette Scott, Union Springs, AL; two daughters, Tammy Scott, Troy, AL and Tiffany Scott, Union Springs, AL; four sons, Clifford (Patricia), Jason, Anthony Scott, all of Union Springs, AL, and Frederick L. Goshay, Huntsville, AL; four sisters, Barbara Lewis, Kellie, Lisa, and Mary Scott, all of Union Springs, AL; two brothers, Frazier (Sandra) Scott and Jeffery (Ellen) Scott, all of Union Springs, AL; twelve grandchildren, Beuncle, Jasmine, Kamaria, Xaviera, Chloe, Zandra, Janiyah, Deuna, Jalayna, Davion, Aryn, and Deontarius; eight great-grandchildren, Zykerria, Jaylen, Zamarious, Nevaeh, Nalani, Bernard, Jr., Aria, and Isla; one aunt, Gloria Zachery, Bristol, CT; three uncles, Arthur Whitehead, Windsor, CT, Eddie Whitehead, Hilton Head, SC, and Ronald Bell, Atlanta, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends
