PAUL VINCENT THOMPSON III, affectionately known as Grandpaw; Mookie, and Deno, was born on October 8, 1999, to Shantay Fisher and Paul Thompson, Jr. In 2007, Paul gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church. From a young age, Paul displayed a vibrant spirit and a generous heart. His joyful presence and magnetic personality quickly
earned him nicknames that stuck with him throughout his life. Paul proudly graduated from Franklin Central High School in 2018. He was a highly intelligent young man who loved to laugh, dance, and bring joy to others. Paul lived life to the fullest and encouraged everyone around him to do the same. Paul cherished his family deeply. He had a special bond with his grandmothers and spent as much time with family as he could. His love for his parents was immeasurable, especially the close and unwavering friendship he shared with his mother, Shantay, who was his best friend. Paul knew he could always call her, and she would be there. To know Paul was to truly love him. He was sweet, funny, loyal, and full of love. That loyalty ran deep; if you had Paul's heart, you had it forever. He was a devoted son, a proud father, a protective brother, a fun cousin, and a loyal friend. On August 15, 2025, at the age of 25, Paul passed away, leaving a legacy of
love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved children, Khalil Thompson (with Unique Cummings), Paige Thompson, and Pailyn Thompson; loving parents, Shantay Fisher and Paul Thompson, Jr.; stepfather, Reginald Lamont Bell, Sr.; grandparents, Connie Johnson, Jerry Fisher, Sr., Rosalind Dullen, and Paul Thompson, Sr.; siblings, Reginald Lamont Bell Ill, Taytum Bell, and Donovan Thompson; aunts, LaTasha Fisher, Jill Thompson, Vashon McElwain, Sian Parrott, Kailyn Fisher, and Kasey Jackson; uncles, Jerry Fisher (Jacqueline), Kenyu Dullen, Devon Dullen, Terrance Summers, Issac Mabry, and Zion Mabry; dear cousins, Daianna Shanklin, Unique Dullen, Kyrese Dullen, Jaidah Fisher, Dairon Jones, Janiye Fisher, Rylee Fisher, Torren Jones, Jerry Fisher III, Navie Fisher, Blaze Fisher, Ava McCarty, Dean McCarty, Jhalex Fisher, Nariah Dullen, and Princeton Davis; and a host of other family members he loved deeply. Paul stood on business, put that "ish" on, loved hard, and a host of other family members he loved deeply. Paul stood on business, put that "ish" on, loved hard, and laughed loud. He was our Deno, and he will live forever in our hearts.
