Jaques Banks, 21, passed on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Public viewing is 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 EST on Monday, July 14, 2025.
JaQues was born in Columbus, Georgia on June 30, 2004, to Derrica L. Beasley and Adrian T. Banks. He received his primary education at Shaw High School, where he joined the varsity baseball team as a freshman. During his time there, he formed many irreplaceable bonds with good friends and earned honorable mention as an All-Region outfielder in his senior year. He graduated with his diploma in 2022 and went on to study welding at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
JaQues enjoyed playing his Xbox, shooting basketball with friends, spending time with family, making music, and working as a cook.
Instilled in him by his mother and extended family, JaQues had a personal relationship with God, which shone through in his gentle spirit, unwavering love, and eagerness to help others.
He was preceded in death by his sister, London A’miree Jones, on May 21, 2008.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Derrica Banks; his father, Adrian T. Banks; one brother, Jaylen Holsey; three sisters, Adrianna Banks, Juelle Jones, and Aureana Jackson; special cousins, Alexis Moffett and Jahleil Mitchell; grandparents, Bernadette McGhee, Charlie McGhee Jr., Alonzo Taylor (Erika), Vanessa Banks, and Tony Porter; devoted aunts and uncles, Demarcus McGhee, Dekoyae McGhee, Keir Hall, April Murphy (Andre), Kierra Banks, Whitney Taylor, Shaundrell Hall, and Roxanne Dancer (Clarence); one nephew, Zaiden Holsey, and one niece, Ayla Holsey; as well as a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.
