Obituary For Diane Lynn Morris

Ms. Diane Lynn Morris passed away quietly Monday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA at the age of 70.

A native of Ft. Rucker, AL and the daughter of Mrs. Katie Carroll Morris and the late Robert Morris, Jr, Diane was a 1970 graduate of Baker High School and attended Savannah State University. She retired as an IT Tech at AFLAC and was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church and its choir ministry. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Her hobbies included reading, shopping and dancing. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Krystal Butts and a son-in-law, Troy Holloway.

Survivors other than her mother include three daughters, Alisha Butts, Katia Holloway and Lasandra Veasley (Cameron); two brothers, Robert Morris III and Gregory Morris (Ann); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Morris will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Friday, March 31, 2023 following a Twelve O'clock Noon Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Nazareth Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Reginald Jackson.

Visitation is 2:00 til 5:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
