Mr. William Claude Hairston, known to his family and friends as "Willie" was born in Rockingham County February 8, 1953 to the late Ava Brown. He was then raised by the late Charlie and Ressie Hairston. His earthly journey ended on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Willie was educated in the Madison School System. He served in the U. S. Marine Corpe from 1974 - 1977. He retired from Nelson Auto after 20 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Jacqueline Oliver, sisters; Betty Webster, Katie Oliver and brother, Charlie and Jerry Hairston.
Willie will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and great sense of human. He had love for hot red cars and spent many days on a bank fishing with his family. Willie was the best dad and grandfather this world has ever seen.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons; William (Tori) Oliver, Bryan Oliver, two daughters; Jennifer Oliver, Daizha Hairston, two brothers; Otis Hairston, Elder Larry Hairston, Marish Hayes, Deanna Graves, Carrie Burnett, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren, special friend, Bobby Lowe and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
