TERRENCE MORGAN
05/13/1968 - 12/01/2021
Terrence Morgan, the son of Houston C. Morgan and Maylo E. (Terry) Davis, was born on May 13, 1968, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools, graduated from Arlington High School in 1986, Marion College (now Marion University), and graduated from Wesleyan University in 2005. Terrence joined the military in 1991, receiving training from Ft. Leonard, Missouri and Ft. Lee, Virginia. He spent two years in Schweinfurt, Germany attached to the 3rd Division, 10th Infantry (Marne Dogs). After he left the military he had various jobs including working for Indianapolis Public Housing police and his last job working at DFAS in secondary dependency for the Air Force. He was married to Michelle E. Thompson on April 18, 1992. Their union produced two daughters, Krysta Bryanna and Sierra Renae. He remarried on August 18, 2002, to Detra Jackson. Their union produced a son, Maison Morgan. Terrence accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Scott United Methodist during his childhood. With Pastor Joy Thorton leaving Scott, his family followed Pastor Thorton to Greater Saint Mark Baptist Church. He became a member of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church during his first marriage, and during his second marriage became a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church. He always professed his faith and love of God, and continued to grow in his faith. He loved his children dearly, spending as much time as possible with all of his children. He enjoyed watching sports and anime, collecting comic books, talking about pop culture, and above all spending time with his family. He also was a very giving soul and his love, patience, understanding, and thoughtfulness towards others spoke highly about his character. Terrence was preceded in death by his mother, Maylo; a brother, Michael; niece, Renee; and several aunts and uncles. Terrence leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Huston C. Morgan; three daughters, Krysta Bryanna, Sierra Renae, and Micah Joy Dreyer (Christian); one surrogate daughter, IJada Crystal Jackson; son, Maison Christian Morgan; three brothers, Darrell Morgan, Sr. (Kim), Terrell L. Morgan (Alexis), and Damon Smith; three sisters, Karen Morgan, Kimberly Morgan, and Andrea Kinnard; one grandson, Colin M.
