"Drew" was born on May 22, 2011, in Indianapolis, IN, to proud parents, Rodgerick A. Payne, Sr., and Shanel B. Rowe. A quiet, studious child, Drew was known by his family and friends to be sharp, smart, and solitary. He loved music, games, and riding his bike. He was a special little boy. He attended Charles Tindley Genesis Academy and was a talent show winner. He sang in the choir at Berean Bible Church. He loved family game night, playing board games and cards, and was very competitive!

Drew was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roger Payne.

Drew is survived by: his parents, Rodgerick Payne Sr. and Shantel Rowe; his brother, RaSean Payne; his maternal grandparents, Cicely and William Taylor and Sean Rowe; his paternal grandparent, Joyce Payne; his uncles, Chaz, Aaron, Anthony, Rodney, Jason, Sean, and Baylie; his great-grandparent and his great-great-grandfather; and a host of cousins and other family members.
